Mott is locked up at 8pm... >_< so i'm in the stinky basment of beethoven... grrr...

Cheese is leaving tomorow morning, so there is a small party tonight... i was thinking about skipping out a litrtle early to go to Short Stacks (Side Traxx the tc gay bar) with the reast of the homos in HSB, but seeing how most of them conmpletely just ignored me... i'm a litle peeved and think i should stay now for Cheese's fare-well party...

WYSO (World Youth Symphony Orchestra) just played the Firebird suite... and it was WONDERFUL! it's just sad that there are only two more interlochen themes before i have to go back to Albion... If/When i find time this year (ha ha yeah right) i'm getting OUT of albion, i'm going to UofM, State, anywhere i have other friends to hang with too... i need varied environments!!!!!!!

I'm in a grumpy mood... meh... I finished the Ender's Quartet today, and Harry Potter yesterday... and i'd like to say that i HATE Rowling's writing... i LOVE her stories, but someone who can handle an Epic story should have written it (Tolkien, Card, etc.). NOw i'm reading the Hitchhikers Guide! ALL OF THEM! ^_^ w00t

i need a new life...

off to division...

luv

i would say--and i think many people would agree with me--that Rowling's prose is MUCH easier to digest than Tolkien. I feel that his stories are interesting but he writes like a brick. Interesting that you feel the opposite.

p.s. remember that Rowling is writing for the little guys.

Yeah, i had to remind myself over and over that i was reading a children's book... i just wish it was more...

and as for writing, Yeah, Tolkien's prose is like running into a brick wall over and over, but i was thinking more along the lines of story and character developement more than anything...
